Donations
The dollars you give to Hospice of Eastern Idaho provide help and support to people in our community facing terminal illness. Hospice of Eastern Idaho is our community’s only not-for-profit hospice. The caring members of our community participate with us in assuring that no one is turned away because of inability to pay.
What impact do donations have?
We depend on community support to fund special programs such as the Caregiver Resource Center and to offset the cost of hospice services, medications and equipment for those who do not have resources or insurance to pay for their care.
In 2007-2008, we served 238 families throughout the year. We provided $312,000 in unreimbursed care to persons without the means to pay, with care consisting of $194,000 in charity care, $76,000 in medications, and $42,000 in medical equipment.
The only way we can continue to provide care at this level is through the generosity of donors. You may donate via cash, check, money order, or cashier’s check. We do not accept credit cards. You may donate in memory of someone and we will acknowledge your donation to the family. As we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, donations are tax deductible.
We can also accept donations of tangible items such as Attends, wheelchairs, bed tables, or items such as automobiles, real estate or the like, subject to IRS regulations. We cannot accept any form of medications.
You may bring or mail your donations to 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401-4337.
